PAPER VERSES - RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘SATURDAY’
Following the release of their debut single and EP earlier this year, Paper Verses, a folk duo from Kent consisting of Simone Lincoln and Matt Evans, are back with the release of their new single ‘Saturday’ on April 10, 2026. This track is taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Promises’, due for release in May. The duo will be performing at various UK venues and festivals across the summer - live dates listed below.
Recorded at Big Jelly studios in Ramsgate and engineered by Mike Collins (Allo Darlin’), ‘Saturday’ is an unsentimental love song about finding someone new when you have been put through the wringer, and the insecurities that come with that. Delicate and understated ‘Saturday’ features Matt’s unique acoustic flat-picking guitar style, with Matt also adding harmonies to Simone's exceptional lead-vocals, with an underling of soft violin throughout.

Simone Lincoln, born in England and raised in Germany, is a classically trained singer who studied and sang opera for several years. Her extensive background as a music therapist and psychotherapist has equipped her with an ability to connect musically on an emotional level rarely heard these days. Her voice embodies both strength and fragility, combining power and grace.
Matt Evans, influenced by both English and American folk music, has spent his life playing in bands and writing songs. Utilising various tunings and a distinctive flat-picking guitar style, he crafts songs that explore the everyday while asking universal questions.
